Grifola frondosa or commonly known as Maitake is a medicinal mushroom that has been widely used for centuries in Japan (also consumed for food) and China. Maitake muhrooms have high concentrations of beta glucans, which is a type of polysaccharide (a large chain of multiple carbohydrates).
